These are the terms for using LABKickstart Benchtop, a free community site run by LABKickstart. By using the site or posting to it, you agree to them. We have kept them plain.

Who can use Benchtop

Browsing and downloading are open to everyone. Posting experiments, comments, and replies, and saving labs, needs a free sign-in. Teachers and students are both welcome. If your country sets an age below which a guardian must consent, use the site with that consent.

Your contributions and their license

You keep ownership of what you create. By posting to Benchtop, you grant everyone a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license (CC BY 4.0) to use, adapt, and share your contribution with credit. Only post material you have the right to share under that license. Do not upload copyrighted work, exam material, or answer keys you are not allowed to distribute.

Be a good lab partner

Please do not use Benchtop to:

Physics labs can involve real hazards. Read the safety notes, use your judgment, and follow your institution's rules. You are responsible for how you run any experiment.

Moderation

We may review, hide, or remove content, and limit or close accounts, to keep the community safe and useful. You can report content that breaks these terms. We handle moderation by hand at this scale, so please be patient.

No warranty

Benchtop and its content are provided as is, without warranties of any kind. The experiments here are shared by their contributors, not verified by us for safety or accuracy. To the extent the law allows, LABKickstart is not liable for how the site or its content is used.
